Job Summary:

The Director of Strategic Growth will take a primary role in shaping and driving strategic growth opportunities across all Power System & Instruments business units and across all solution offerings that we go to market with. They will lead the next phase of business development and expansion. The ideal fit will have previous leadership experience and have demonstrated success in driving business growth through commercial strategies.

Working closely with the Vice President and General Manager to innovate and scale our work in an exciting growth phase of our high-technology company; exploring the opportunities regionally, nationally, and internationally.

The Director of Strategic Growth will evolve our division's medium and long-term business strategies and oversee the implementation of business goals. This person will identify key areas for business growth, develop new business opportunities, and execute strategy.

They will create, lead, and implement strategies for business development to expand the current existing relationships and growth trajectory. Work with a diverse, inclusive, and experienced team of professionals in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with leadership on strategic planning to define synergistic opportunities, growth goals and objectives for the division
  • Working with division leadership to articulate our growth strategy in order to secure needed investments to realize growth
  • Creating reports on key metrics to determine the company's progress in meeting its goals
  • Maintaining a review cadence with all business units around growth to ensure appropriate strategies are developed and that actions are executed on in a timely manner to achieve growth
  • Work to develop strategy and execute tactics for shared channel, warehouses, resources, etc. in targeted growth regions across the division
  • Identify organic and inorganic opportunities for growth for the division and influence the business unit and divisional teams to prioritize and execute on such initiatives
  • Identifying new business opportunities that align with the division's strategic goals
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products or services within current markets
  • Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn't
  • Developing strategies to increase customer retention by identifying customer needs and providing excellent service
  • Work with Sales and Marketing Leaders in creating and maintaining a list of target clients for new products or services
  • Conducting research about competitors in order to identify opportunities for the company to gain market share
  • Provides advice on product development and distribution and promotion strategies
  • Builds cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in diversified roles in highly analytical, strategic, growth environments

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA a plus
  • Highly analytical with an ability to support ideas with numbers
  • Ability to build and deliver internal and external executive presentations
  • Experience with M&A a plus
