Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms, is seeking an experienced Paralegal for our Intellectual Property Practice Group who will support the Philadelphia office.This position can reside in any of the following offices: Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Houston, TX; Orange County, CA; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Silicon Valley, CA; Washington, DC with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Responsibilities:Assisting with preparation, filing, prosecution and maintenance of all patent applications and patents (U.S. and foreign)Maintain internal IP dockets and monitor and satisfy deadlines Knowledge of U.S. and foreign formality and legalization requirementsKnowledge of electronic filings via EFS-Web with the USPTO and ePCT with the IBSubstantive reporting of actions issued by USPTO and foreign patent officesKnowledgeable of US and Foreign rules and monitor any changes Assist in the preparation of patent formalitiesManage worldwide client patent portfoliosLiaison with US and foreign patent counsel to ensure timely preparation of documents.Assist in due diligence projectsExperience/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate or minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience in an intellectual Property law firm or corporate legal department.Knowledge of CPI (or equivalent patent docketing system) with ability to run client reports and docketsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamExperience with recording time and managing large docketsProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAbility to prioritize workload and manage multiple deadlines Attention to detail and ability to solve problemsAbility to work well under pressureExcellent communication skillsFor positions in Orange County, CA the salary range for this job posting is: $66,070.00 - $105,712.00For positions in San Francisco, CA, Silicon Valley, CA, and New York, NY, the salary range for this job posting is: $71,815.00 - $114,904.00The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
