Our Tax practice seeks an experienced professional with tax experience to join our Tax team as a Staff Accountant. We are looking for well-rounded professionals with personal and entity experience.
This is a national practice, and this position can take place in any of our Massachusetts locations: Downtown Boston, Chestnut Hill, or Brewster (Cape Cod).
What You Will Do:
Provide tax compliance, provision and advisory services to partnerships, corporations and S-corporations for a variety of clients in the banking, investments, asset management and capital markets industries
Lead the execution of assigned client engagements including the budget, estimated tax payments, tax extension filings, tax returns, and provisions
Supervise and review the work of other tax staff professionals
Research tax issues and findings that may impact clients' federal, state and local tax planning projects
Keep firm Tax Managers and Partners informed on engagement progress and any important issues discovered that need resolution
Communicate on behalf of clients with the IRS, state and local authorities and represent clients at any potential tax audits
Advise clients on critical issues that impact their business transactions and provide appropriate solutions
Utilize CCH Intelliconnect, Axcess and other tax research software programs
Participate in client proposal and new business development opportunities
What We Seek:
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field of study
Attained 150 credit requirements and beginning to study for the CPA exam.
1+ years of relevant tax compliance experience working in a CPA firm, a professional services firm, or a tax consulting practice
Strong tax compliance, analysis and research experience
Prior experience supervising and mentoring other tax staff professionals
Work experience with companies in the banking, investments, broker/dealer, asset management, and SEC registrants market space
Proficient with CCH and other tax software and technology programs
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite tools
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to travel to client locations as needed
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
