Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Human Resource Intern that can do a 2-day hybrid approach onsite in our Farmington Hills office. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. 

Summary Statement

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team with a primary focus on learning the full-cycle recruiting process and assisting the talent acquisition team with attracting and hiring exceptional employees. As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of human resources and develop a solid foundation in recruitment processes.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties


  • Assisting with job postings: Collaborate with the HR team to post job openings on various job boards and our company website.

  • Resume screening and candidate sourcing: Review incoming resumes, screen candidates based on specified criteria, and maintain an organized database of potential candidates for future reference.

  • Interview coordination: Schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and arrange interview logistics such as conference rooms, video conference setups, and interview panel availability.

  • Applicant tracking system management: Utilize our applicant tracking system to track candidate progress, update candidate profiles, and generate reports.

  • Pre-employment checks: Conduct background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment verifications as required.

  • Offer and onboarding support: Assist with drafting offer letters, coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • HR documentation and record-keeping: Maintain and update HR records, files, and databases, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

  • Ad hoc HR projects: Support the HR team on various ad hoc projects, such as organizing recruitment events, conducting market research on recruitment trends, or contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Prior experience in HR or recruitment, through coursework, internships, or part-time positions (preferred).
