Microsoft Cloud Architect

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Microsoft Solution Architect for our Houston office who has experience with architecture, design, implementation, and upgrade of various Microsoft technologies! You will possess deep technical depth to work with virtualization, server and storage technologies and will utilize your strong business and technical consulting skills to solve business challenges while creating the desired outcomes.

Primary responsibilities:

• Work with internal developers and engineers to design messaging-related services and platforms, and cloud technologies, working with tools such as Microsoft Azure, Exchange, Office 365, Power BI, and the Power Platform
• Serve as the team leaser/coordinator, escalating and directing issues to other members of the team
• Manage Azure subscriptions and costs

• 10+ years of experience in a role surrounding Enterprise Messaging services and Azure and O365 solutions

• A minimum of 6 years in a technical leadership role

• Must have technical expertise with cloud technologies, Microsoft Teams, Exchange On-Premises and Online, 0365, and Azure Active Directory

• Security and compliance experience, and an advanced knowledge of Windows servers

• Application integration and architecture background

• Provide design, installation, and management recommendations of Loomis Microsoft Office 365 and Azure environments.

• Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients' requirements and challenges

• Design, architect and implement standard or custom technical solutions for Microsoft related technologies such as Azure, O365, Exchange Online, Teams

• Develop complete technology solutions across a breadth of technology options, considering all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements

• Create relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)

• Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings

• Interpret requirements; speak with Loomis business users to understand their needs

• Participate and contribute and share information that you have learned with the larger Loomis IT team

• Keep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partners

Skills

10 or more years of experience in and an advanced level understanding of the following technologies:

• Microsoft Server technologies

• Azure AD

• Azure DevOps

• Office 365/Exchange

• Intune

• Active Directory

• DNS/DHCP/LDAP

• VMware toolsets

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience considered Cloud certifications a plus
