What You'll Be Doing:

Samsonite is seeking a Retail Construction Manager to establish the strategy, priorities, and allocation of resources to support new store openings, remodeling construction, and timely completion of all store maintenance projects through a third-party vendor.


  • Ensure store construction, expansions, relocations, remodels, and closings are completed on time and within budget

  • Perform site inspections on progress, quality, and compliance for construction

  • Estimate build out costs for real estate proformas

  • Oversee all phases of construction and update project budgets weekly

  • Lead, manage, and develop multiple aspects of the department including store planning, construction, and maintenance including business relationships with landlords, general contractors, vendors, suppliers & architects

  • Work with retail and creative teams to ensure vision is incorporated into store design

  • Maintain project summary and communicate to external and internal teams

  • Manage close out activities and paperwork to secure construction allowances

  • Process bills, invoices, and maintenance requests from District Managers with 3rd party provider


We're Excited If You Have:


  • BS/BA in Business or Construction Management

  • 5+ years' work experience in retail store construction

  • Ability to collaborate with and communicate across cross-functional teams

  • Proven project management skills and track record in value engineering

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight/shifting timelines simultaneously in mall and outlet-based environments for specialty retail stores

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with project planning software, CAD or other drawing tools

  • Knowledge of construction process requirements, Construction Work Letter language, and lease business terms
