Has thorough knowledge and skills in at least two areas. Has a wide range of technical skills and operational knowledge. Understands the practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. Completes a variety of assignments independently based on established procedures. Identifies process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput,
and quality. May provide mentoring and training. Proactively identifies and resolves complex problems where considerable judgment is required in choosing among multiple options. Troubleshoots process issues and, as a team member, analyzes root causes and makes recommendations. Exhibits teamwork and motivates others to achieve project objectives. Collaborates within own work unit and with those from other departments outside of work unit and/or with external vendors/suppliers. Limited supervision required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Must adhere to all safe work practices and rules.


• Assemble, setup and disassemble multiple production equipment for processing and packaging.


• Operate and maintain 6S of key production equipment not limited to a specific manufacturing area.


• Performs autonomous maintenance.


• Operate specific equipment within a designated area.


• Meet daily production goals and requirements.


• Responsible for product quality and makes adjustments to equipment as necessary.


• Ensure weights and methods are accurate and all regulatory requirements are met.


• Proper completion of required paperwork


• Follow GMP(s) and QCP(s) at all times.


• Immediately report safety and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel


• Train and instruct other team members how to properly operate equipment.

Who we are looking for

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of Production Operator experience & certification in assigned area, as required.


• HS Diploma required.


• Competent in running machinery.


• Competent in setting up machinery.


• Competent in trouble shooting.


• May become a certified trainer and provide certified training in one process.


• Interface with other department personnel if Senior level (4th level) isn't available.


• May back-up Senior level Technician as needed.


• Typically participates in Continuous Improvement projects of a higher scope & complexity.


• Identifies 6S opportunities and sustains the 6S process.
