The Hospital Director of Health Information Management will be joining a reputable health system that prides itself on being a leader and innovator within the health and wellness space. The new HIM leader that joins this mid-size facility can expect a culture that fosters education and teaching among all of its employees. 

Responsibilities for this role include overseeing records, release of information, coding, CDI, and transcription. The Director of Health Information Management must be well-versed in ensuring compliance with federal and state rules and regulations, ensuring HIM department compliance with hospital HIM policy and procedures. The Hospital Director of HIM will lead quality improvement efforts throughout department and ensure departmental goals are met, as well as provide training and support to all HIM staff, and participate in leadership meetings/work with hospital leadership staff to improve overall function of the department/hospital.

This leader in Health Information management should have extensive leadership experience and a background in healthcare. It is important that this Director has HIM supervisory experience in a hospital setting. A bachelor's degree in a pertaining field is preferred, along with RHIT or RHIA Certifications.
