Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Fastener is seeking candidates for the position of Shift Supervisor. This leader will champion the facilities efforts to become the world safest steel company. Instilling safety as our top value, our leader will be charged with continually improving our environmental efforts, quality, cost, reliability, and profitability. They will coordinate production operations with that of sales, scheduling, maintenance, outside processing, and peripheral departments that we support. Job duties may also include: Cultivating an atmosphere aligned with Nucor Culture that promotes trust, empowerment, ownership, and drives continuous improvement. Work with the team to establish expectations and identify best practices that achieve results through encouragement and empowering the team to innovate. Serve as a resource to our team, building talent through promoting personal development and expanding technical and leadership ability, both in and outside the department.
Our leaders at this location work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years Supervisor/Lead role OR proven and demonstrated leadership experience
- Engineering or Technical Degree
- Wire Processing and/or Manufacturing experience
