Operational Excellence: Evaluates relevant industry practices from an operations perspective. Resolves obstacles to goals of several organizationalfunctions. Advises others to carry out responsibilities based on understanding of key organizational functions. Designs awareness programs for multi andcross-functional issues of the regulatory environment. Facilitates interrelationships between major functions and subfunctions. Recommendsefficiencies in operational functions and One Best Way documentation wherever possible. Monitors organizational compliance with policies andprocedures. Facilitates communications across departments to ensure a smooth workflow in the facility and related partner functions. Appliesregulatory programs as needed to comply with major products, processes, or business areas. Provides recommendations and solutions to existingand potential legal or regulatory problems.
Change Management: Introduces change initiatives that target the improvement of significant organizational capabilities. Maintains focus on theimpact of changes on key business issues. Recruits change team members and supporters to improve project success. Secures feedback regardingprogram success. Coaches others to develop change management skills and greater comfort with change. Implements strategies for renewing ordeepening change efforts.
Crisis Management: Determines the severity of crises and initiates appropriate response actions. Identifies signs of an impending crisis. Proactivelyplans and prepares for major business crises. Reviews crisis management and disaster recovery plans for currency, adequacy, and validity. Appointsindividuals to crisis response teams and trains team members in response tasks. Calculates the financial impact of crises.
Quality Assurance: Interprets quality assurance failures, analyzes underlying causes, and estimates associated costs. Implements quality assuranceprocesses for multiple hardware products. Oversees the activities and documentation associated with the preparation, administration, validation, andpublications of quality assurance audits. Advises others on the strengths and weaknesses of alternative quality assurance methodologies. Conductsand directs quality reviews and audits. Consults on the optimal matching of quality assurance tools to specific products or product groups.
Data and Digital Literacy: Leverages data to make real-time decisions, anticipates business questions, drives hypothesis formulation, guides testing,and builds a data-driven culture. Conceptualizes technology-enabled solutions, guides prototyping and testing, and facilitates learning. Reviews theimpact of digital technologies in alignment with broader Walmart strategies and drives process efficiencies or enables cost reductions. Usesvisualization tools to represent data and construct coherent stories to influence decisions.
Partnership and Collaboration: Builds, maintains, and enhances effective internal and external partnerships. Influences outcomes and assists incommunicating shared goals with diverse groups and parties. Identifies and addresses additional partner needs and educates partners on valuecreation. Communicates with other individuals or teams to solve shared problems. Identifies how changes in business strategy impact talent andrecruiting strategies. Consults regularly with leaders of business unit(s) to advise on strategic decisions. Brings ideas and solutions to the businessand team members. Promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Vendor Management: Mentors others in the resolution of complex supplier issues. Consults on the trends of vendor management. Develops anddeploys mechanisms that lead to positive relationships between the business and suppliers. Leads the evaluation of product plans/directions forimpacts on supply chain requirements. Establishes best practices for monitoring vendor efficacy, reliability, and performance. Manages and developscommercial relationships with the senior levels of management in supplier organizations. Determines procurement policies for the organization,including "build or buy" criteria.
Business Process Improvement: Investigates new ways to align business processes with organizational goals. Monitors Business ProcessImprovement application trends in various fields (for example, financial and customer service). Modifies Business Process Improvement approaches.Develops new approaches to achieve improvement. Leads in the development of Business Process Improvement best practices within the
organization. Leads in defining organizational strategic goals, purposes, and customers. Coaches others on how to change the performance oforganizations.
Technical Acumen: Develops policies and procedures to monitor problem logs, resolutions, and lessons learned. Directs the resolution of complex,multicomponent failures. Establishes best practices for distinguishing mechanical, electronic, or systems problems. Leads in discussing alternativetroubleshooting approaches and applicability to types of problems. Oversees the organization and coordination of teams of in-house and vendorexperts to resolve major problems. Consults and coaches others on how to troubleshoot non-recurring and performance-related problems. Drivestechnical enhancements and anticipates new opportunities and needs. Ensures feedback from current and potential users is considered while makingrecommendations and selecting vendors. Stays abreast of new technologies and technical environments. I Demonstrates expertise on thecomponents, architecture, and integration of facility equipment. Analyzes and supports unusual and complex integration and system needs.
Reliability Management: Monitors standard operations in hardware product reliability quality assurance programs. Guides others in product redesignand feature changes to improve product performance and reliability. Directs the collection of information on product failures and uses information toredesign or enhance products. Consults on the definition of success for hardware products and reliability tests. Designs evaluation metrics to assessreliability improvement plans and programs for hardware products. Applies probability and statistical measures to assess products and estimate andmonitor reliability.
Electrical Design: Monitors the design, installation, and testing of electrical systems in machines used for supply chain processes. Recommendsimprovements to quality inspection procedures for existing electrical systems. Demonstrates expertise in wiring schematics, driving innovation insystems and compliance. Adheres to electrical safety practices to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements. Coordinates between multipleelectrical systems, equipment, and component inspection activities. Ensures work adheres to specifications. Works with various I/O device in order tocontrol conveyor logic (for example, gapping, sorting, diverting).
Contracts Management and Administration: Develops standard processes to maximize contract efficiency and effectiveness. Anticipates contractissues and manages legal risks. Advises on the practices and considerations for upgrading existing contracts and solving complex contractmanagement problems. Supervises management and administration for a wide variety of contracts. Trains others on how to use advancedtechnologies and tools for contract management. Evaluates operational issues and considerations in contract enforcement.
Budgeting: Evaluates past business decisions and associated budgetary considerations and impact. Compares planned budgets versus actualexpenditures and identifies, reports, and explains variances. Participates in developing budget adjustment procedures and practices. Develops andmanages large and important budgets. Uses Walmart's preferred budgeting software tools. Works with business managers to create appropriatebudget amounts. Designs, prepares, summarizes, and presents expense management reports. Utilizes a number of diverse expense managementtools and methods.
Procurement: Selects appropriate and qualified suppliers and negotiates related contracts. Coordinates the procurement of a variety of products,materials, and services. Monitors the effectiveness of procurement policies in high-cost or critical path purchases. Compares and contrasts alternativesourcing strategies (for example, sole sourcing, reverse auctions). Develops alternative sources of supply for the manufacturing organization. Assistsin creating contingency plans for and with critical suppliers.
Data Analytics and Insights: Applies advanced analytics techniques (for example, statistics, time series analysis, optimization and simulation) todeploy appropriate models for analysis and prediction. Analyzes both financial and non-financial information to draw out patterns and relevant insightsfor customers. Leverages data to take real-time decisions and provide data-led actionable insights for businesses to proactively identify / mitigaterisks. Develops new visualization solutions and advanced dashboards. Builds compelling stories based on the analysis to integrate multiple pieces ofinformation into cohesive insights. Presents to internal/external stakeholders using appropriate frameworks and conveys clear messages throughdeep business and stakeholder understanding.
Software Product Testing: Participates in test readiness reviews, functional, volume, and load testing. Tests software components for compliance withfunctional requirements and design specifications. Explains procedures for documenting test activities and results (for example, errors,nonconformance) Describes key features and aspects of a specific testing discipline or methodology. Conducts functional and performance testing onaspects of assigned products.
Negotiation: Develops and executes effective negotiation strategies that enhance long-term relationships and benefits for all stakeholders at theenterprise level. Sets objectives and establishes tactical approaches for negotiations (for example, defining new pricing models, new ways ofcontracting). Uses persuasive arguments to influence others to achieve optimal procurement outcomes. Approves agreement structures for complexnegotiations. Shares strategic insights and knowledge to help others make decisions.
Project Delivery: Leads the development of communication and change frameworks to drive change management processes. Leads the evaluation,selection, and implementation of project management processes. Administers and tracks multiple projects involving many activities and deliverables.Champions a structured approach for progress monitoring and reporting. Coaches others in identifying and communicating conflicts in schedules ordependencies. Organizes efficient processing of work requests. Secures estimates and responses in timely fashion. Bachelor's degree in a Technical related field (e.g., Controls, Electrical) and 8 years experience in Material Handling Industry or related field OR
10 years experience in Material Handling Industry or related field.
2 years supervisory experience.
