Real Estate Loan Originator at DATCU in Corinth, Texas

Job Description:

Responsible for the outside sales and origination of Real Estate loans. Through outside sales, conducts initial pre-qualification interviews and submits necessary documentation to the DATCU Real Estate Department for processing. Conveys policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines. Meets Mortgage Loan scheduling and documentation requirements, as well as production expectations, as determined by the AVP Real Estate/SVP Lending. Serves members, prospective members, builders, developers, and Realtors promptly and professionally in relation to the sales that the Real Estate Loan Originator is making or attempting to make. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Education/Certification:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:

Understanding of the foundation of determining credit worthiness.

Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, products, procedures, processing, and underwriting guidelines.

Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.

Experience Required:

One to two years of related loan processing experience. Real Estate background helpful.

Abilities generally acquired on the job. Includes formal and on-the-job training.
