The North America Inventory Analyst will look to implement and monitor all inventory control measures from the time we receive material into inventory to the time it is relieved. They will also be responsible for all transactions required to maintain this control. The Inventory Analyst will become the SAP Inventory specialist and will assure that others are trained on how to use SAP Inventory module. This role will be critically responsible for supporting ARGON initiatives and audit action plans in 2023 and will take full ownership of inventory moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and conduct cycle counts
Complete all transactions needed to reconcile yard inventory reports and SAP
Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) inventory monitoring and control
Reporting inventory status
Build KPI’s and dashboards for our teams to use to monitor inventory status
Manage slow moving inventory
Manage scrap sales
Execute batch transfers in SAP to reflect physical location of pipes
Learn and improve SAP inventory module
Train on use of inventory reportion, batch transfers and other transactions in SAP
Facilitate inventory assessment visits at Vallourec Houston Area production and storage facilities
These key responsibilities will allow the Supply Chain group to communicate quickly and accurately with Vallourec's internal sales teams, controlling, threading facilities and customers.
Skills and Knowledge:
Process mapping, flow chart mapping experience or interest
Experience with the full Microsoft office suite of tools (Outlook, excel, TEAMS, Power BI, etc.)
Ability to work in very dynamic environment that has constantly shifting priorities
Knowledge of and experience with ERP and MRP processes (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Oral and written communication skills – this position reports frequently to executive management at the regional level
Able to simplify and execute on difficult, complex initiatives and problem solving
Must be able to influence team members in a matrix organization with limited direct authority
Education & Experience:
Associates degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Management, Economics or other related discipline or equivalent experience is required
2 plus years of supply chain and inventory experience
