Survey CAD Technician at Ardurra Group LLC in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description:

Ardurra is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our staff in San Antonio, TX.

Primary Function

Candidate would use CAD equipment/software to provide support to surveyors by preparing surveys and subdivision plats. Specific drawing types would include boundary, ALTA/ACSM, land title, topographic, wetland delineation, right-of-way, Well Location Plats, Pad Site Plats, and control surveys associated with land development and municipal projects.

Primary Duties

• Candidates should have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology and construction drawings.


• Candidate should possess mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. The level of responsibility required of the candidate will be based on their level of experience and familiarity with the type of survey.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Entry-level classification normally requiring an Associate’s degree or high school graduate with vo-tech training in basic drafting technology (or equivalent working knowledge/experience), 2 years of progressive AutoCAD experience preferred.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.




• Understanding of layer standards


• Understanding of label and point styles


• Understanding of surfaces

• Experience in the Oil and Gas sector

 General Competencies

• Technical capacity and ability to visualize survey and civil elements in 2-D viewpoints based on limited 3-D alternative views, and vice versa.

• Ability to project the time required to meet goals, manage time available and prioritize production based on deadlines.
