TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Area Manager in Middleton, TN.
Accountable for leading and managing all aspects of operations for an assigned production area. Responsible for ensuring that operations deliver quality products, on time, safely and effectively to meet customer needs. Works with leadership to develop a culture of accountability, empowerment, continuous improvement and customer focus. Maintain high standards in terms of safety and manufacturing efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Plans and determines optimal utilization of direct labor and equipment to meet manufacturing goals.
Leads and directs cross functional team comprised of Quality, Safety, Material control, Op ex, HR, Maintenance and Production to achieve daily targets of area
Ensures that manufacturing stays on schedule and within budget.
Coordinates manufacturing support with other departments to minimize downtime and meet production schedule. Ensure preventive maintenance on equipment is implemented to prevent machine downtime.
Analyzes manufacturing data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement; identify and utilize methods of making manufacturing process more efficient and effective (reducing waste, using lean).
Directs and is accountable for corrections (corrective action) of any manufacturing problems that may arise with-in Area; works with Quality Manager in development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensures materials, supplies and equipment are available and operational for production
Implement continuous plant improvements for increased productivity and waste reduction
Accountable to implementing and sustaining GMPs and ensures plant policies and procedures are followed and accountability measures are applied.
Ensures Area compliance with company policies and government regulations
Ensures that safety behaviors, policy and procedures are adhered to.
Hire, train, and evaluate new hires; monitor performance and ensure performance and safety requirements are met.
Accountable for good Labor Practices and CBA Compliance.
Coaches, Counsels and Develops Direct Reports and promotes a Culture of Inclusion

Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in Business or related field
3+ years of experience of management in the manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of local, state and federal regulations
Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing environment
Knowledge and understanding of the bargaining agreement
Work as part of a cross functional team
Interface with appropriate departments outside of manufacturing
