  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Two years continuous work experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment post high school.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Excellent skills in organization and documentation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • General tooling knowledge working with gauges and fixtures.
  • Experience working in customer service, quality, or engineering.

The Tooling Control Coordinator will be located in the Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation.

Key Responsibilities will include:


  • Manage tooling movement between Whitehall Casting and other facilities in Whitehall and across the nation, and to local tooling vendors. Includes shipping documentation and export regulations.
  • Coordinate wax die cleaning schedule with HdM (Howmet Mexico). Includes tracking of injections and cleaning cycles, development of cleaning instructions, and creating system to score and track die condition, cleaning, and care by HdM, providing feedback for improvements.
  • Own offsite tooling storage process. Includes documenting and sending tooling to storage, and storgae reduction through destruction of obsolete tooling.
  • Manage all customer and in-house owned tooling at various storage facilities. Ensure all employees are trained on tooling control processes.
  • Conduct customer/government requested audits on miscellaneous tooling.
  • Upkeep of GagePak tracking software on all tools. Collaborate with other Howmet Sites to deploy GagePak. Includes training new users.
  • Initiate all new tooling tracking documents and enter in GagePak tracking software. Provide marking information to engineering teams. Photograph new tooling upon reciept and edit photos to create invoicing packages for customer service team.
