Medtronic Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) seeking an Inspection Manager to join the MCS Operations Quality team to lead our Receiving Inspection and Final Packaging group of inspectors and technicians which help ensure that we serve our patients effectively while maintaining compliance and driving the highest possible quality levels. The Inspection Manager role requires cross-functional knowledge, technical acumen, and business management skills, providing direction and leadership to cross-functional manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to drive project execution.

This position is in Miami Lakes, FL. within the Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.

A Day in the Life

In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Inspection Manager r ole. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Leads team which uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect or test incoming, in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies.

• Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time.

• Makes recommendations for capital expenditures and manpower for inspection area.

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

• Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards

• Leads team through technical, logistical and problem solving and resolution. Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

• Communicates with stakeholders and obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems

Qualifications

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required

• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years technical experience

Nice to Have

• Exposure to quality engineering best practices and timely resolution of nonconforming product issues.

• Demonstrated track record of communicating effectively with internal and external employees, customers, and vendors regarding ongoing operations.

• Uses information exchange, influence, and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of supporting functions.

• Familiarity with medical device regulations and good manufacturing practices

• Experience with VADs

• Six sigma green belt or black belt certification.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations).The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience,certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.

Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary depending on job-relatedknowledge, skills, and experience .
