The Credentialing Coordinator has responsibility for the following areas:
Maintain, organize and manage all aspects of provider credentialing with insurance plans and outside facilitiesMonitor and track due dates and expiration dates of licensing and contract agreementsUpdate current provider and group information in all systemsObtain appropriate licenses and certificationsPrepare their own records for regular auditing, as well as maintain close communication with all appropriate practitioners to ensure that records are up-to-date and consistent
Credentialing Coordinator Requirements
Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment.Effective oral and written communication skills.General knowledge of various credentialing requirements relating to the medical field.At least one year of experience in the medical field.Excellent interpersonal skills.Skills in database management and record keeping.Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.Excellent organizational skills.Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED is RequiredAn Associates Degree is preferred but not required.One to two years of general business experience, health care experience preferred.
