We are hiring! Atkins is seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer or a Junior Design Engineer to join us in our Orlando, Florida office. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse group of engineering and design professionals on various federal and commercial projects in Florida and around the world.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Design fire protection and plumbing systems.




• Ensure the Fire Protection and Plumbing design meets the Atkins high standards.




• Using Revit, under the supervision of a registered engineer, produce construction documents and coordinate with all disciplines for a successful project.




• Collaborate with senior Engineers, Architects and other teammates.

What will you contribute?

• As a junior engineer, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. This level may be achieved by Engineers with 2 years' experience since B.S. The typical incumbent has 4 to 5 years' experience since Bachelor's degree. This person will have successfully passed the FE exam and be capable of PE licensing in the immediate future.




• As a senior designer, the successful candidate will have a high school diploma and a minimum of 12 years progressive drafting and design experience, including at least six years as a Designer.




• A background designing automatic sprinkler systems, standpipes, fire pumps, and writing specifications for these systems.




• Experience designing domestic water, sanitary waste, storm systems, compressed air, oil delivery and fuel oil systems.




• Strong knowledge of the REVIT software and be capable of producing construction drawings in Revit.




• Experience performing sprinkler calculations using the HASS program will be a plus.




• A solid understanding of the International Building Code, Plumbing Code, The NFPA codes, and the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) followed by most Federal projects is required.
