Are you looking for a leadership opportunity that supports Goodwill’s mission and vision for the community? Goodwill of the Heartland is looking for a Lead Supported Community Living Specialist in Cedar Rapids.
The position entails supervising a team of 6 or more direct support professionals who provide supported living skills training to program participants. The primary objective is to assist individuals with disabilities in developing and implementing personalized goals, fostering their independence and integration into the community. The role includes creating weekly schedules for the team to ensure comprehensive support for over 60 program participants. Additionally, the position holder will be responsible for managing their own workload of participants, which may involve providing transportation as needed. The position offers leadership opportunities, involving the development of direct support professional staff and the review and approval of case notes. Other responsibilities include managing the department budget, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of program resources, cultivating positive working relationships with referral sources and funders, and monitoring the service waitlist.
Qualifications:
The Lead Supported Community Living Specialist has a starting pay range between $22.35 and $24.59. The schedule will be 40 hours per week and the hours will typically be Monday-Friday 8:00a – 4:30p.
