This position reports directly to the Teller Supervisor. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining client relationships through accurately processing all client transactions, referring other bank products and services as appropriate for the client and directing client to correct internal individual or department for completion of the sale and/or service.

Greet clients to make them feel welcome and sincerely thank clients for banking with us.
Provide highest quality client service by handling the client’s immediate request.
Access client account information as requested by client to provide detailed account information.
Understand and follow check cashing policies and procedures for Blackhawk Bank.
Process client transactions and balance teller drawer at end of day ensuring accuracy.
Log large cash transactions in accordance with federal regulations.
Achieve product referrals appropriate to client need.
Have a basic knowledge of bank products and services.
Effectively use the Vertex Teller Capture system and have effective personal computer skills.
Understand and abide by the teller difference guidelines and policies of Blackhawk Bank.
Basic knowledge of Synapsys system related to teller responsibilities.
Assist and perform in all tasks listed on the New Teller Checklist.
Assist and perform in all tasks listed on the New Teller Follow Up Checklist.
Attend training and educational classes as scheduled.
Attend company meetings as scheduled, on-site or off-site, during or after normal work hours.
Participate in one civic or charitable organization.

Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Position requires a high school diploma, plus minimum of one-year cash handling experience. Must be computer literate, organized, and detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal, communication, basic math, and data entry skills are required. High degree of confidentiality is a prerequisite.
Must successfully complete Blackhawk Bank’s teller training program and required Compliance College courses.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical Requirements – This position may exert up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis. Requires frequent standing. May require infrequent bending, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling or crouching. Requires infrequent telephone usage, and operation of other standard office equipment. Mental Requirements – Performs various tasks requiring independent knowledge, and its application to a variety of situations. Must exercise sound judgment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The majority of this position consists of inside work with limited outside work. Noise is minimal. Light exposure to dust.
