Job Description:

The Credit Manager will be a self-motivated team member who is diligent in monitoring and maintaining HK credit policies and reducing debt losses.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field

  • 7 – 10 years’ experience with credit/collections principles and processes

  • Experienced with executive-level reporting and communication

  • Hands-on experience and advanced skills with analytic software applications

  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen

  • Knowledge of lending procedures

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with people from various functions

  • Ability to evaluate complex issues and develop actionable plans

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Direct the daily activity for general receivable and credit activities

·         Oversight responsibility for corporate records management

·         Provide management reporting, performance and efficiency metrics, and operating results to executive management 

·         Oversee compliance to company and governmental requirements for all cash management activities


  • Manage Accounts Receivable Department (3 employees)

  • New customer account review and approval

  • Accounts Receivable collections

  • Sales Tax collection and monitoring

  • Account reconciliations for debts and customer accounts

  • New Customer set up

  • Invoice management

  • Approve Customer Credit

  • Payment posting back-up

  • Communicate with customers and HK Sales staff regarding invoice issues and payment concerns

  • Determine risk assessment by using credit scoring models and trade references

  • Evaluate creditworthiness of potential customers

  • Review and update company credit policies

  • Process review and improvements

  • Other duties as assigned

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Ability to sit at a desk for periods of time

  • Ability to work in an open office environment

  • Ability to walk or stand for short periods

 

EXPECTED HOURS


  • Availability to work 8 hours per day and additional overtime hours Monday - Friday

  • Availability to start work before regular shift and remain after shift
