Another Source’s client, Stanford University, is recruiting a Process Improvement Specialist to join their Improvement, Analytics, and Innovation Services team in Redwood City, CA. This is an opportunity to have a huge impact with a team that supports many groups campus-wide at Stanford. This is a hybrid position; a minimum of 2 days on-site is expected.

Anticipated Salary Range: $110,000 - $132,000 annually, commensurate with experience 

 

About Improvement, Analytics, and Innovation Services: 

Improvement, Analytics, and Innovation Services is an in-house consulting group serving a wide variety of Stanford University organizations and departments (both administrative and academic). Our teams provide expertise in process improvement, service design, facilitation, business analytics, and project management.  

 

Our vision is to create, instill, and sustain a business improvement discipline throughout Stanford that delivers transformed and efficient processes and services through a structured, data supported approach. Our mission is to identify, prioritize, and launch projects that measurably improve our business processes and services by looking broadly across the institution and through collaboration with university partners. 

 

The Process Improvement team is instrumental in helping our various clients understand, document, and ultimately improve their business processes. This team is composed of process improvement professionals with expertise in Stanford business processes, process improvement best practices, and project selection/project management. We are in search of a team member who can provide meaningful assistance in executing process improvement projects, measurably improving business processes and providing high quality deliverables.

Position Snapshot:  

This position will lead and support moderately complex process improvement/innovation projects spanning multiple departments or within a school or unit.  This role will also help support the planning and implementation of single to medium sized programs in the function.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field  
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible, relevant experience. 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification with significant related work experience, or other recognized change/process certification. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the higher education industry and/or previous consulting experience is a plus. 
  • Black belt certification preferred.
