Production Supervisor, 3rd shift at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Sylmar, California

Job Description:

As a Production Supervisor, 3rd shift, you will be responsible for supervising production staff in the fabrication and processing of Aerospace Transparency materials. This position is located fully onsite in our Sylmar, CA. facility. You will report to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Works as a team with functional area supervisors and managers to accomplish objectives and meet customer requirements of quality, service and performance expectations
• Responsible for identifying and eliminating waste in all phases of the production processes
• Trains, cross-trains and maintains proficiency records of employees.
• Identifies Recommends proper staffing levels based on production needs
• Applies lean manufacturing and SPC principles
• Maintains inventory control and accuracy

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing, experience in management including human resources and labor relations, effective leadership and supervision of multiple support functions and staff operating in a team concept.
• 1 year of leadership or manufacturing supervisor experience
• Ability to work 3rd shift
• High School Diploma

  Salary Range $85,000-$95,000 plus annual bonus
