Job Description:

The Purpose of Your Role

This position will be directly responsible for managing key aspects within finance and accounting, including invoicing/billing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, assisting in closing the books monthly and financial reporting.

The Qualifications We’re Looking For


  • BS or BA in Accounting required

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent, or working toward, preferred

  • 7+ years of related business experience in a Finance and Accounting environment

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills

  • Strong analytic and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Accounting/ERP software

  • Ongoing review of actual spend against budget and direct necessary actions needed for any expected shortfalls.

  • Managing accounts payable, including oversight of vendor setup, invoice import and input, GL coding

  • Oversight of client invoicing on a monthly and weekly basis, producing and supplying clients with pertinent backup to support billing

  • Ensure monthly close check list of tasks is completed timely no later than the 10th business day of the subsequent month

  • Monthly bank reconciliations review and/or preparation

  • Month end closing duties, including accruals, deferrals, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries

  • Lead contact with independent financial audit and income tax firm

  • Preparation of monthly sales tax reports for multiple states and overall tax liaison

  • Build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within and outside of finance

  • Conduct one-on-one meetings weekly/biweekly with all direct reports to coach, mentor and support their teams, and to help foster a positive work environment and create an “open door policy” for team members

  • Client contract review, including reviewing terms and conditions, logging and setting up clients in the appropriate systems with billing information and rates

  • Vendor contract review, including understanding terms and conditions in order to properly classify and account for in the financial statements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage, lead change, and build process improvements
