Job Summary

This role will primarily deal with building competence in the daily tasks of a Virtual Segmenter I, with the intention of advancing to Virtual Segmenter I within a reasonable amount of the time. This role should work directly with other Virtual Segmenters, IPS Coordinators, Designers, Design Engineers, and Planning Engineers to fulfill Individual Patient Solutions (IPS) to reproduce 3 dimensional models from CT data while adhering to KLS Martins corporate image and industry regulatory standards. Also, the role may interpret sketches and descriptions of medical device concepts in the creation of illustrations and other media.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities


  • Learn and demonstrate the ability to manage, store, and interpret patient data promptly in the form of CT scans, dental models, and other patient specific data.
  • Learn and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge of pertinent anatomical landmarks and features of, and not limited to, craniomaxillofacial, extremity, and thoracic anatomy.
  • Learn and demonstrate the ability to create accurate 3-dimensional models from patient data
  • Demonstrate the ability Communicate efficiently and clearly between other team members on IPS cases
Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements


  • AS, AA, or comparable certification in a technical/medical field.
  • Prior experience with 3D modeling software.
  • General proficiency with learning software.
  • Proficiency with computer mouse for fine motor applications.
  • Basic mathematical concepts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to retrieve and interpret documentation.
