Plant Technician – First Class at Castleton Commodities International LLC in Newburgh, New York

Job Description:

CCI Roseton, LLC is looking to fill the position of Plant Technician 3C at our Newburgh, NY Power Plant. This is an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 320 represented classification job. This job is subject to collective bargaining and is in the automatic progression series program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in safely operating and maintaining the CCI Roseton electric generating station and related facilities.


• Operate, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, diagnose, test and maintain all power plant equipment and systems.


• Engage in corrective and preventive maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of the facility.


• Repair, replace, troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain power plant instrumentation & control equipment and systems.


• Must follow all operating procedures for plant equipment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education of a high school diploma or GED.


• Relevant technical training, apprenticeship program, or equivalent education or experience; Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education.


• Diploma from a recognized trade school in the electrical field.


• Demonstrated experience with aspects of power plant operations and maintenance including mechanical, instrument and electrical systems and a working knowledge of power cycles.


• Solid knowledge and experience in calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting Instrumentation & Control equipment and systems in power plant, industrial facility, processing plant or Navy environment (minimum of 2 years).


• Experience in controls or Hid background (pneumatic and electronic valves, transmitters, switches and regulators) area preferred


• Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds is required.


• Hourly wage starts at $38.15 and increases to $40.49 after six (6) months.
