Our office in Exton, PA is responsible for managing design projects including mechanical, electrical, plumbing / fire protection, and process disciplines within biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. The AtkinsRéalis Internship Program is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Perform basic drafting in 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Revit) to acquire the necessary CAD skills and applicable software knowledge to support the technical services of the company.


• Acquire knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.


• Develop familiarity with CAD software and related equipment and procedures.


• Enter basic data, as instructed, such as measurements and commands, to generate construction drawings, renderings, report graphics and other digital images.


• Edit existing designs, following detailed instructions.


• Make minor mathematical calculations.


• Check drawings to verify completeness, clarity, and accuracy, and present to supervisor for review.


• Take on-line software training programs and read manuals and other instructional materials to develop familiarity with CAD products and company/departmental procedures.


• Perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.


• Project site visits to assist Engineer with surveys.


• Provide administrative and operations support.


• Complete Quality Management Training and comply with the program upholding a commitment to a culture of quality in all aspects of work.

  • Enrolled in an associate degree program in one of the following or similar:
    
    
    • Engineering CAD Technology
    
    
    • CAD Design Technology
    
    
    • HVAC Design Technology
    
    
    • Architectural Engineering Technology
    
    
    
    
  
  
  
  

• SPECIAL SKILLS
  
  
  • Microsoft Excel and Word
  
  
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit (a plus)
  
  
  • Good interpersonal skills
