Each year, as part of the Renewables segment, The Andersons refines corn into millions of gallons of ethanol, a low-cost, clean-burning, high-octane, renewable fuel product for refiners, fuel blenders, and convenience stores.

Our investment in ethanol is a natural extension of our core business competencies in grain operations, corn originations, and commodity processing. We are a significant investor in, as well as manage the operations of, The Andersons Marathon Holdings LLC, with four plants located in Albion, Michigan; Clymers, Indiana; Greenville, Ohio; and Denison, Iowa.

In addition to ethanol, these facilities collectively produce E-85, feed products, and corn oil, which is key to the renewable diesel industry.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. As a key maintenance professional, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and facility equipment within our Greenville, OH Ethanol Plant location. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and overhaul production machines and facility equipment, showcasing your technical prowess.


• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs and provide emergency/unscheduled repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.


• Utilize your mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair production machines.


• Interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders with precision to perform required maintenance and service.


• Continuously seek improvement opportunities and provide valuable input and recommendations to enhance operations.

Preventive Maint enance Abilities:

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, keeping them in top-notch condition.


• Maintain an up-to-date and computerized preventative maintenance system, ensuring efficient workflow.

Safety Oriented Mindset:

• Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety by adhering to all safety policies and standards.


• Work diligently and proactively identify and address any potential safety risks, ensuring the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate's Degree preferred


• 1-3 years' relevant experience required

Desired Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of basic electrical theory, technical skills, including knowledge of how to use appropriate tools, supplies, and equipment including but not limited to voltage meters, meggers and amp meters.


• Ability to perform basic arc, MIG and or TIG welding skills


• Ability to install and troubleshoot AC and DC power distribution, control panels, motors, troubleshoot and adjust instrumentation on all equipment.


• Ability to use precise measurement tools including but not limited to laser alignment, calipers, dial indicators and vibration analysis tools.


• Read and understand P&ID's and schematics.


• Capable of operating scissor lift, JLG lift, forklift.


• Ability to work at all heights.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

• Work is performed in a 24x7 Ethanol production facility.


• This job is subject to intermittent requirements for heavy lifting, climbing, working in strained positions and in confined areas, occasionally for a prolonged period.


• This job is required to work out of doors in all weather conditions with frequent exposure to noise, dirt and a dusty environment.


• The hazards are those associated with height and working around large machinery.
