Kleinfelder is currently looking for a Project Manager experienced with Construction Materials, Engineering, and Testing (CoMET) for our metro-Philadelphia office, located in Mount Laurel, NJ.

We're looking for experienced special inspectors with 5 years of specific experience in construction inspections and materials testing to join our team supporting owners on some of the largest projects in New Jersey and SE Pennsylvania. This position is actively engaged on construction sites and in-office, performing special inspections, and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to the applicable codes, project plans and specifications. This role also includes project management support, client coordination, staff supervision and scheduling. This role offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile jobs and gain a wealth valuable of experience.

We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic fast paced team with a client and project forward focus while advancing their career in the field of construction special inspections and materials testing.

Position responsibilities include:

•Train field staff/new hires in the field on projects.
•Scheduling staff to the appropriate projects.
•Promote safety stewardship with field and lab staff.
•Assist with field staff interviews and recruiting.
•Assist with equipment maintenance, calibrations, field files, document control, etc.
•Manage small projects and work towards the goal of being a qualified project manager.

Must be able to use a tablet and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Must be willing to travel throughout New Jersey, SE Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware.

Consideration for this position requires the following minimum competencies or experience :

Education: Associate degree or equivalent industry experience. Bachelor’s degree desired.

Experience: 5 or more years of related experience required.

Certification/Registration: Maintain required certifications for various disciplines as required (ACI, ICC,
NICET, NJDCA, AWS).

Other Knowledge and Skills: General knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
preferred.

In addition to the above required competencies and experience, hiring preference will be given to those candidates with the following certifications or experience:

NJDCA certifications for reinforced concrete, soils, and structural steel a plus or be willing to apply within 6 months of hire.
