Maintenance/Facilities Technician at Jetstream in Houston, Texas

Job Description:

Facilities


  • Perform routine maintenance around the facility such as minor repairs, painting, flooring, ceiling title replacement, light bulb changes, carpentry, filter changes, etc.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and HVAC equipment as assigned.

  • Relocate lifts as needed.

  • Procure parts and materials for maintenance work orders.

  • Manage maintenance parts inventory, inventory counts and annual report on material spend.

  • Assist with getting quotes from vendors and negotiating for best price on parts and services.

  • Maintain vendor relations.

  • Perform grounds care/upkeep.

  • Fabricate wooden crates for equipment such as pumps, fluid ends, etc.

  • Assist Shipping Department a minimum of 1 day per week.

  • Assists with office furniture moves and furniture installations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Safety


  • Monthly inspection of all plant-wide extinguishers including sign off and recording properly and accurately.

  • Participate fully in CPR/AED, First Aide, and Fire Warden Training.

  • Report all unsafe conditions to Safety Manager.

  • Promote Jetstream’s Core Value of “Safety Focus”.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar facilities support position, required.

  • Valid Driver License, required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to use overhead crane to lift anything over 50 pounds.

  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders.

  • Ability to frequently stand and walk for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to pass Forklift Certification process.

  • Able to proficiently use hand tools and specialized tools as needed.

  • Must have a customer focused, positive attitude with good communication.

  • Must have basic math skills.

  • Must have basic computer skills.
