Health Quest and Western Connecticut Health Network have combined to form a new nonprofit health system. The name for the new health system will be Nuvance Health. JOB SUMMARY:Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to all ages of the life span including pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients served by the Food & Nutrition Department. Assumes responsibility for performing inpatient and outpatient diet instructions including food/drug interactions; completes nutritional assessments (Nutrition Care Process); calculates nutritional requirements; assess adequacy of nutrition support and makes recommendations on TF/TPN; participates in community nutrition programs; functions as a member of the health care team; to provide optimal nutritional care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A four-year Bachelors Degree from a program that meets the educational standards established by the Academy of Dietetics and Nutrition

Licensure/Registration/Certification: RD credential, or RD eligible status with RD credential within 3 months of hire required and CDN credential required within 6 months of hire

Work Experience:1 yr minimum experience as a Registered Dietitian preferred
