As a part of Clarios’ North American Logistics business unit, and under general direction of the North American Logistics Director you will be accountable for leading the Clarios Hazardous Control Tower, with specific responsibilities around permitting and logistics strategies. You will lead a cross-functional leadership team focusing on analyzing, improving, and implementing business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance of US/Mexico Cross Border Supply Chain. This role will work strategically and collaboratively with members of the US/CA and Mexico Supply Chain, Logistics, Metals, and Operations teams North support of the development and execution of a more robust and efficient flow of product to and from the US and Mexico and will have strategic responsibility for >$150M in Logistics spend annually.
How you will do it
Multi-Region Regulatory Strategy and Execution: Understand and document the current state process of our international product flows, focusing initially on US/MX. Define the future end state process for the US/MX Cross Border Supply Chain, eventually encompassing flows to and from other regions including all relevant functions such as: Trade Compliance, Metals, Supply Chain & Logistics, and Operations, etc. Lead execution of the strategy that gets us to our desired future state over the next 3+ years.
End-to-End Program Oversight: Set agenda, manage, and oversee the entire program lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and efficient process from initiation to completion, including proactive risk assessments.
Liaison to Internal Governance Team: Act as the primary point of contact and communication between the permitting program and the governance team to ensure alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Advocacy: Supports the advocacy strategy, internal and external, set forth by the internal governance team for the global health of the circular economy
Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies, local authorities, and community groups.
Compliance Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards set forth from the Governance Team
What we look for
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Operations Management, Business, or Engineering
10+ years of experience in supply chain with proven success, Mexico/US Cross-Border Logistics experience is a plus.
Strong critical thinking and analytical ability, and process orientation in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems that have meaningful economic implications.
Experience and capability to study complex critical business processes and/or issues and recommend solutions to an executive audience Leadership communication
Experience driving large, multi-functional business improvement strategies
Advanced knowledge of SIOP, Inventory management, Commercial, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Distribution/Warehousing, and Logistics processes required.
Demonstrated end-to-end enterprise level business process management implementation alongside of enabling systems implementation
Proven ability to manage across functions and successfully engage and influence others outside area of control. Ability to influence up, down and across the organization
Proficient in utilizing business software applications including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Visio and project management software
Previous experience working in high volume process manufacturing
Deep understanding of Supply Chain related financials (Total Landed Cost, Inventory Carrying Cost, Warehousing and other Material Movement related cost, etc.)
Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma problem solving
Remote work is authorized but prefer candidate be domiciled in proximity to Milwaukee, WI (US) Monterrey, NL (MX) or Laredo, TX (US)
May require 25% travel, including international
