Responsibilities:
Distribution / Transmission Engineering: Responsible for Distribution / Transmission line engineering. Duties may include preparing, providing guidance or assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables for Natura Gas distribution / transmission projects, including: line routing, pipe and valve sizing, regulator stations, cathodic protection, railroad and stream crossings, plan and profile drawings, material selection, construction specifications and all associated calculations.
Utility Relocation Engineering: Involved in relocation plans' design for highway construction projects including those funded by State DOTs.
Frequent client contact and supervisory responsibilities included.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (BSCE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or other related degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
5-10 Years of experience in Natural Gas Utility design and coordination.
Registered Professional Engineer, or ability to become registered within 12 months. Willingness to acquire licenses in other states.
Familiarized with DOT Plans production and procedures.
Experience in Natural Gas Utility design and construction coordination related to DOT roadway projects preferred.
Computer-Aided Drafting experience (MicroStation and or Open Roads experience a plus).
Natural gas system design and/or construction experience
Good written and oral communication skills
Experience in the utility industry
