We're looking for an accomplished media and marketing leader to join the Meta Global Media team to lead media strategy for our US consumer apps (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook) and business marketing. This person will be responsible for leading the team driving our media approach as a key part of our go to market plans across these businesses, and be responsible for leading media strategy, thought leadership, and recommendations of how best to connect with our consumers across Paid, Owned and Earned Media. The role will develop robust partnerships and collaboration models internally to determine the right media and communications strategies, target audiences, budget needs, integration points across partnerships and communication plans, locations and distribution for our marketing campaigns and measurement priorities. The designed brand presence will work to grow brand awareness and other key KPIs, ultimately generating demand and driving conversion across the full marketing funnel, while strengthening our Meta brand overall. The ideal candidate possesses sharp strategic, operational and creative instincts across brand and performance media honed at the world's best brands, experience demonstrating short- and long-term media effectiveness, a deep understanding of the value of various channels and the ability to support and inspire a team to do the best work of their careers while partnering deeply with in-house media experts and an agency team. They are an innovator who can navigate integrated marketing discussions, advise and oversee strategy development, effectively collaborate with cross-functional leadership, and establish innovation approaches to maximize impact across the team.The candidate will join our Global Media team as part of our Consumer Marketing Organization. The global media team at Meta works across our consumer efforts across our family of apps and services.
Head of Media, US Consumer and Business Marketing Responsibilities:
Lead the media strategy team for our Family of Apps and Business Marketing efforts
Set vision, articulate opportunity and lead the media strategy for these businesses, along with other current and future products to deliver business outcomes
Build strong working relationships and influence cross-functional partners across Marketing, Creative, Insights & Analytics, Social and Brand Strategy in order to develop innovative, impactful and integrated work and definitions of success
Identify and proactively craft new processes and approaches to leverage paid media to drive brand health and business growth
Drive a results driven mindset throughout the team and instill a high level sense of accountability to achieve goals
Drive performance and efficacy across individual and collective media channels, leveraging quantitative and qualitative insights to influence media business strategies, and inform tactical planning, execution and optimization
Drive capability for the media discipline at scale globally through partnership with Global Media leadership and other internal partners, effectively building full funnel growth for our products and services
Oversee and optimize agency collaboration and model to deliver business goals
Steward team's development, impact and career growth while modeling inclusive behaviors as a cross-functional leader and people manager
Partner with media and marketing leadership across the Meta family of brands
Minimum Qualifications:
15+ years media experience within marketing/advertising organizations
8+ years management experience, including experience managing people managers
Leadership experience at a Media company/agency
Experience overseeing marketing work with a portfolio of products at scale
Performance marketing and digital media experience
Proven experience to influence
Knowledge of industry trends and innovation in media, tracking, analytics, measurement and research
Knowledge of consumer and currently relevant media trends
Experience leading media strategy across a variety of channels (Digital, Social, TV, OOH, Audio, Sponsorships, Partnerships, etc.) and audiences (consumer, business, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Experience working in-house at a consumer technology company
Experience working and thriving in a self-starter, fast-paced and changing environment
Experience leading a complex, cross-functional organization across a portfolio of brands
Digital-first approach to solving complex brand and product challenges
