The Human Resources Generalist serves as a vital link between the plant's team members, management, and external services groups, driving excellence in all facets of the human resources function. This role reports to the HR Manager.
How you will make contributions that matter...
Be a key onsite business partner by developing strong relationships with employees at all levels, leading to an understanding of how HR can best support each department.
Be approachable and accessible to employees through regular floor presence and direct contact with employees and supervisors.
Be a champion of Saputo's culture and values, supporting them by establishing HR best practices which align with them.
Support HR Manager and employees with program administration, employee relations, retention, training, performance management, compensation and benefits.
Key Talent Acquisition leader for the site, responsible for role assessment, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, reference/background checks, job offers, orientation/onboarding and HRIS transactions (Workday preferred).
Act as a resource for managers, supervisors/employees on policies, procedures/practices pertaining to Human Resources and benefits. Ensure maintenance of applicable plant policies, procedures, documents related to Human Resources (i.e. job descriptions, work rules, etc.).
Record new or revised pay rates in HRIS and/or time keeping systems. Enter new employee information in HRIS system.
Support leave of absence activities.
Employee metrics tracking and data entry.
Actively participate in planning and implementation of employee engagement activities and events.
Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo Values.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you...
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent professional experience in a Human Resources capacity or 5-years of progressive HR experience preferred.
SHRM PHR certification preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems required. Workday experience preferred.
Understanding of HR and employment laws and processes.
Demonstrates business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential information.
Ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships and influence and guide others.
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, problem solving, organization and time management skills.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead people through change.
Ability to work flexible hours in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Salary Range: $52,805-$70,400
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, educations, skills and training
