About the Role:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas seeks a manager of its Research Information Services group to support the research needs of the Bank’s economists and other professional staff. In this role, you will oversee library and data services, archives, and research web content. Key opportunities include setting the strategic direction of the group and contributing to the development and delivery of information services. This role reports to the Assistant Vice President – Research Support.  

You Will:


  • Coach and develop staff within the Research Information Services group and oversee the establishment and execution of goals and strategic objectives.

  • Manage the data and information resources budget and determine resources to purchase.

  • Provide leadership in developing policies, best practices and strategies for data management and governance, preservation of historical records, web management, and metadata management.

  • Serve as a leader and contributor in various committees, projects and workgroups.

  • Oversee the development, design, organization, and maintenance of applications, data, and information. Examples include the library services platform (LSP), preservation software and SharePoint sites.

You Have:


  • Master’s degree in Library and Information Science

  • 5+ years of experience providing data and information services to specialized staff within a research environment

  • Expert knowledge of research information and archival management principles and techniques

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and to customers and to work in a team environment

  • Ability to quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing environment

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements

This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.

This position requires access to confidential supervisory information and/or FOMC information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law. This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
