The Lead Video Investigation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and conducting video surveillance investigations to support security operations, incident response, and legal compliance. This role requires expertise in video analysis, evidence handling, and the management of video surveillance systems. The Lead Video Investigator will lead a team of investigators, coordinate with various departments, and ensure that all investigations are conducted thoroughly and in accordance with organizational policies and legal standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential:


  • Manage the retrieval, review, and analysis of video footage related to incidents, ensuring accurate and timely investigation results.

  • Lead video investigations for security incidents, accidents, and other events requiring detailed video analysis.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and legal teams, to provide video evidence as required.

  • Supervise a team of video investigators, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure the team is proficient in the use of video analysis tools and investigation techniques.

  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of video evidence, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of all materials.

  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing investigation findings and present these reports to management or external agencies as needed.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of video investigations.

  • Develop and implement standardized procedures for video retrieval, analysis, and reporting

  • Ensure all video investigations comply with legal requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for legal inquiries related to video evidence, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in video surveillance, investigation, or a related security field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Proficiency in video analysis software and surveillance systems.

  • Strong understanding of video compression, storage, and retrieval technologies.

  • Knowledge of legal requirements and industry standards related to video surveillance and evidence handling.

  • Certifications in video analysis, digital forensics, or related areas are preferred (e.g., Certified Forensic Video Technician (CFVT), Certified Video Examiner (CVE)).

  • Successfully pass a background and criminal history investigation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

The proposed work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM MT. Please note that hours are subject to change based on business needs.

Pay Range:

$71,043.00 - $100,348.50 Annual
