Where ideas come to life... this dynamic position research, collaborates, designs and produces various artwork and visual aids to not only help our clients determine what they like and don't like, but ultimately producing art that will be transformed into a three dimensional manufactured good. This position processes and executes to ensure that Clear Sign's goals and objectives are accomplished with minimum liability exposure and maximum efficiency. This position works closely with the PM and Sales staff in a respectful and motivating fashion, all the while implementing all CSD's procedures, standards, and protocols. Manages his/her time effectively and follows the guidelines and objectives within the company culture and employee handbook.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


In addition to the essential functions listed below, other duties may be assigned. With direction provided by the Design Manager, Sales, PM or Engineering Staff, efficiently produce accurate designs for proposed signs as an effective production or pre-sale tool. With direction provided by the Design Manager, Sales, PM or Engineering Staff, efficiently produce designs; permit sets, criteria's, site maps and other necessary documents for proposed signs defined within the task. Occasionally researches permit-ability of our permitted sign products to ensure our proposed product is applicable, also advises staff about conflicting information when needed. Researches the property owner's sign criteria to gain acceptability of our sign products and advises staff about conflicting information when needed. Utilized a strong quality control method to ensure all design development efforts are accurate and complete before completing a task as complete. Utilizes strong organizational skills to manage design files, folders and other artwork tools whether stored on CSD servers, the Cloud of your desktop. Able to quickly and accurately evaluate problems and assist in making decisions and corrections to game plans, schedules and other details impacted by unforeseen obstacles and issues in a timely manner and with a positive attitude. Able to accurately adopt and reflect the culture of our business through all forms of communication. Maintains a clean desktop, workstation, organizes emails and art files per CSD standards. Processes tasks, using Teamwork, or other internal trackers to ensure the department provides the image of a professional environment while keeping the rest of the team up to date. Maintains a professional business attire, presence, and follows all of the guidelines outlined within the company culture and employee handbook with accuracy and a positive attitude.


QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Graphic Design; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Flexi Sign, and other sign making programs helpful as well as all Microsoft office programs.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to top management.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, proportions, percentages, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Understand and use scaled plans, produce scaled plans, mathematically analyze plans that do not have a scale to determine the correct ratio to use in place of a scale.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Makes recommendations on cost savings and/or more efficient ways to process tasks. Pursues continuing education in design, product, and sign-making technology. Effectively communicates and documents all necessary messages including, time logs, file uploading, project updates and contacts, to the corresponding personnel or database. Correctly labels designs with the correct job number, manages old files and places in the corresponding correct folders on the server / TW as directed. Represents the company in a professional manner in all personal, verbal, and written communication. Organizes workstation and time effectively to ensure that all jobs meet scheduled delivery dates. Ensures all company objectives are met with accuracy and minimal liability. Ability to accurately adopt and reflect the culture of our business through all forms of communication. Organizes time and personnel effectively to ensure that all jobs meet the scheduled deadlines all while working safely and completed under the estimated hours. Ability to effectively assist other departments and staff as needed. Ability to exceed the standards and objectives of the particular project by beating the allotted time and maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
