Job Overview

The HR Generalist, Corporate will assist the HR Business Partner in the administration and strategic support of HR processes, procedures, and systems. This role serves as a vital resource to employees and management, providing expertise across multiple HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and HRIS administration.

Job Responsibilities


  • Address employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, procedures, and programs providing clear and accurate guidance.
  • Responsible for managing mid-level employee relations and workplace issues including but not limited to counseling, coaching, and corrective actions.
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns or complaints in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees, promoting positive employee relations.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws and regulations, updating HR policies and reporting as needed.
  • Manage the administration of leave of absences including but not limited to FMLA, STD, and Parental Leave.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and align with business objectives.
  • Facilitate off-boarding processes.
  • Scan and maintain employee records to Open Text.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the HRIS system to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports (e.g., turnover, headcount, and performance metrics) to support organizational decision-making.
  • Coordinate and facilitate a variety of employee meetings and engagement events: summer gathering, holiday gift giving, and ESOP meeting.
  • Assist HR Business Partner with strategic projects.
  • Ability to review/update/have access to employment information of employees in the organization. The expectation is that all employees in HR will not disclose such information and maintain confidentiality.
  • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
  • All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field.
  • 2 years of HR experience or more.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on management expertise and experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Familiar with HR policies and procedures (employment law, FMLA, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and high levels of professionalism.

Preferred Education and Experience


  • 2-4 years of experience preferred.
  • HRIS experience, preferably SAP SuccessFactors, Kronos
  • HR Certification (SHRM or PHR)

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.

• Work is performed in an office setting.
