This position reports to the Regional Capability Lead and is based in the Florida region, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving cloud sales and fostering customer-centric go-to-market strategies.
What You'll Do
As the Senior Principal focused on cloud sales, you'll align regional capability strategies with market needs, positioning yourself as a subject matter expert and thought leader at external events. You'll collaborate with industry partners to identify opportunities and drive sales and revenue growth. Your role will involve partnering closely with local sales teams and client partners to develop and execute go-to-market activities that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction, while building strong relationships with the three major cloud providers.
Capability Vision & Strategy
Tailor regional or country-wide capability strategies to the Florida market, considering client portfolios, market maturity, and geographic factors.
Drive cloud sales initiatives by leveraging market insights and aligning strategic priorities with customer needs.
Go-to-Market Approach
Proactively create demand by seeking speaking opportunities at conferences and events to establish yourself and your team as cloud capability thought leaders.
Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to plan Slalom-led thought leadership events focused on cloud solutions and client outcomes.
Ignite awareness and generate demand for cloud capabilities by engaging in campaigns, RFIs, RFPs, workshops, and POCs.
Partnership Development
Build and nurture strong relationships with each of the three major cloud providers, collaborating with their sales and partner teams to drive joint events and customer-focused outcomes.
Partner with cloud provider teams to identify opportunities for co-marketing and joint solution offerings that resonate with customers in the State of Florida.
Business Development & Sales
Be accountable for Cloud sales growth and managing the opportunity pipeline through to closure, ensuring alignment with market strategies.
Partner with client partners and sales executives to identify and pursue cloud-related opportunities.
Serve as a Solution Lead or SME in the pursuit process, engaging broader capability team SMEs as needed to align with market strategy.
Participate in multi-capability solutioning and client outcome-based selling motions with the GTM team.
People Development
Support the development of a small team of direct reports with a focus on cloud GTM activities.
Mentor other practitioners within the capability area to serve the market's portfolio effectively.
Provide feedback for performance management related to capability team members involved in market pursuits and delivery.
Delivery Management
Contribute to delivery in billable roles as a Delivery Solution Lead and/or in SME roles within the market's portfolio, with defined utilization targets.
What You'll Bring
Prior Consulting Experience: Managed / IT Consulting experience is required
Inspirational Leadership: Demonstrate strategic and critical thinking that aligns with market needs to drive cloud sales.
Proactive GTM Mentality: Build relationships and actively seek opportunities to expand the sales pipeline, partnering with sales/client partners to generate leads.
Growth Mindset: Act as an external speaker at events, engaging with customer CXOs as a credible and confident peer.
Collaboration: Exhibit strong collaborative skills across different teams and organizations to drive cloud sales and customer-focused strategies.
Technical Excellence: Be an excellent technical leader with top-tier cloud certifications, such as AWS Solution Architect Professional / Azure Solution Architect/ GCP Professional Cloud Architect , to provide credibility and expertise in cloud solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position at the Senior Principal level the base salary pay range is $153,000-217,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
