We're seeking a dynamic Product Manager that will be focusing on the end-to-end lifecycle of a product category. This role is critical in driving the development, planning, forecasting, and marketing of products to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the Product Lifecycle: Lead new product development initiatives from ideation to launch using a structured, gated process. Manage existing products through updates, enhancements, and phase-outs.
Be the Product Expert: Deeply understand the assigned product categories, customer use cases, market needs, and competitive landscape.
Drive Growth: Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for new products, features, services, or business models that drive growth and differentiation.
Monitor the Market: Track competitive activity, pricing strategies, and customer trends to inform positioning, pricing, and product decisions.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with dealers, customers, and internal teams to gather insights and translate them into actionable product enhancements.
Support Sales Enablement: Deliver training and support materials for sales teams, dealers, and end-users to effectively position and sell your products.
Own Product Data: Maintain accurate product attributes and specifications across internal systems and customer-facing platforms.
Support Technical Issues: Act as a resource for troubleshooting and resolving product-related technical challenges.
Develop Marketing Content: Collaborate with marketing to create impactful product collateral, messaging, and promotional materials.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of proven experience in product management, ideally within the marine industry.
Strong familiarity with gated product lifecycle management processes.
Exceptional project management and time management skills.
Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decisions.
