Superintendent Position Overview The Superintendent will oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role includes managing the daily operations of the site, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise construction projects from inception to completion.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
Monitor job site safety and enforce safety regulations.
Schedule and oversee daily activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
Ensure quality control and adherence to specifications and standards.
Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports.
Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to assess progress and resolve issues.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Superintendent in civil construction, specifically in roadway and highway projects.
Strong knowledge of grading and utility construction practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
