We are seeking a full-time Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of our Cardiovascular Medicine specialty located in Salem, MA at 331 Highland Ave and 81 Highland Ave (Axelrod Building on Salem Hospital campus). Our outpatient cardiology practice collaborates closely with Salem Hospital to ensure seamless care for our patients. We provide fully integrated cardiac evaluation and treatment to North Shore patients, including angioplasty, cardiac ablation, cardiac catheterization, cardiac evaluation and testing, cardiac rehabilitation, electrophysiology and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and stents.


There are 38 staff members total (both clinical and non-clinical roles), as well as 21 providers (14 MDs and 7 APPs). Our providers mainly see patients at the Salem offices and regularly rotate out to additional satellite locations in Danvers, Beverly, Lynn, and Peabody approximately once a week. Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.


In collaboration with the Director of Operations Specialty Services and Medical Director, the Practice Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the practice, assuring that quality services are provided to patients in an environment that maximally fosters healing relationships between those patients and their health care team.



Job Summary
Summary


Responsible for small-medium single-site practice or smaller multi-site practices (3 or more locations). Provides direct supervision of the administrative and clinical support staff, and operational duties and functions. As a member of the leadership team, provides administrative cross coverage to manage staffing and/or operational issues.


Essential Functions


- Oversees the day-to-day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manage staff schedules. Evaluates daily staffing needs and coordinates replacement of staff.
- Performs hiring, orientation and evaluation of staff. Administers corrective action if appropriate.
- Assists in the career development of practice employees through on-going coaching, counseling, and training. Ensures all mandatory training is completed by staff and HIPAA policies and procedures are followed by staff.
- Evaluates, develops and implements administrative systems and procedures designed to maximize practice operations. Regularly evaluates and analyzes practice performance metrics. Collaborates with practice leaders on the preparation of the practice's annual budgets.
- Oversees the department's payroll including the resolution of payroll issues. Monitors patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures. All other duties assigned. Entry Level Manager Role



Qualifications


Education:
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required


Experience:
Supervisory experience 2-3 years required


Working in an academic healthcare environment 2-3 years required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Strong and proven leadership skills.
