Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring accounting procedures and internal controls that direct the activities of the accounting and operations staff toward the achievement of division objectives. The position provides support for all functional areas by financial and management reporting in a timely manner. This includes financial reporting, planning, analysis, consolidation, reconciliation, and organization development activities for the division.
Essential Functions:
Financial Reporting
Provide financial and administrative services for the various stakeholders of the Company
Manages the monthly financial closing process for the division
Ensures accuracy of all financial reporting, including inventory accuracy, in coordination with the Hendrickson financial policies and procedures
Ensures that financial and managerial controls are established and maintained, consistent with company requirements
Financial Planning and Analysis
Leads the development of the division's annual financial planning and financial forecasting
Lead and assess the division's operating performance by preparing financial plans, monitor expenditures and performance against plan, perform analysis of variances and help establish action plans to meet financial performance objectives
Provide financial information services that provide timely feedback and support decision processes
Establishes and conducts a consistent approach to analysis of financial results consistent with Hendrickson guidelines and procedures
Identifies opportunities for reducing costs and improving operations by identifying methods to reduce fixed and variable costs, secure margin improvements, and implement. productivity improvements
General Accounting
Leads all internal and external audits, working with the auditors ensuring all documentation is prepared and submitted accordingly compliant with the Finance Manual
Provides guidance and support for general accounting functions of:
Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll
Manages the Plant Accountants / Financial Analysts
Finance Functional Excellence Team Member
Participates as a Financial Functional Excellence Team Member with the objective of identifying the best financial and accounting practices that can be applied uniformly across the Corporation
Promotes implementation and transfer of best financial and accounting practices within the Trailer Division
Provide leadership to continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste
Supports the Director of Finance in the achievement of company-wide functional objectives

Education and Training
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Master's degree and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) a plus
10-15 years of experience in a variety of accounting positions required (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
Minimum Qualifications
Manufacturing Accounting experience required
Three to five years of supervisory experience required
Demonstrated strategic thinker with general business knowledge in a related industry
Internal audit training required
Multi-plant responsibilities and strong cost accounting a plus
Self-starter with team orientation
Excellent communication skills
Solid computer skills using accounting software. Knowledge of QAD, KBM, and OneStream a plus
Physical Demands
Frequent sitting and working at a computer for an extended period of time.
Light to moderate travel as required
