Production/Manufacturing Manager - Cosmetic Packaging Location: Newark, NJ


Our client, a leading name in the cosmetic packaging industry, is seeking an experienced Production/Manufacturing Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations at their Newark, NJ facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring streamlined production, high-quality output, and operational excellence.




Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily resource allocation and production planning to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
  
  


• Develop and maintain robust production schedules to meet operational goals
  
  


• Analyze manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements
  
  


• Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to enhance safety, reduce waste, and elevate productivity
  
  


• Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives, from planning to evaluation of outcomes
  
  


• Draft and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure process consistency and compliance
  
  


• Deliver training programs on new techniques, SOPs, and tools to upskill production teams
  
  


• Monitor and report on key industrial KPIs to maintain target performance levels
  
  


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align people, materials, and equipment with production goals
  
  


• Partner with Quality Engineering to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions
  
  


• Support the launch of new primary packaging and product initiatives within the manufacturing environment
