Job Description:

Crane Mechanic

Our client is seeking skilled and experienced Crane Mechanics to join their teams as the organization grows. The Crane Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of crane equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities
• Conduct routine inspections of crane equipment to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems with crane components, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and structural components.
• Perform repairs and adjustments on crane equipment, including replacing faulty parts, tightening bolts, and lubricating moving components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on crane equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate crane maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on crane equipment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following lockout/tagout procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to crane maintenance and repair.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in crane mechanics is preferred.
• Proven experience as a crane mechanic or similar role, with a strong understanding of crane operations and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
