We are seeking a full-time National Accounts Retail Marketing Manager in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for working at the intersection of product development, marketing, sales, and retail execution with a broad responsibility to develop and implement a marketing strategy roadmap for a specific set of retail partners spanning all Garmin product categories.
Essential Functions
Demonstrates proficient knowledge of Garmin products and marketing process, and markets served
Effectively manages people, products, and projects with little oversight
Owns marketing plans/strategy for all retail execution projects for a defined set of retail partners
Develops new marketing plans/strategies with retailers based on competitive landscape and internal reflection
Drives, develops, and implements strategic/tactical plans across all marketing areas with retailers including advertising, social media, sponsorship, and public relations
Partners with retailers to review/give insights on how to best maximize their co-op budget/spend
Applies marketing strategy to new/existing products
Works with Retail Merchandising (in store and online) teams to ensure comprehensive 360-degree plan
Develops and executes events / activations with retail partners
Understands product positioning for approved products and messaging which communicates the value, benefits, and unique selling points of products
Attends industry tradeshows to master knowledge of market(s) served
Partners with cross-functional teams within marketing communications/marketing for products and projects
Ensures all retailer marketing materials are consistent and accurate
Ability to present information to immediate teams and cross-functional teams
Builds relationships across multiple organizations
Applies Garmin's Mission, Vision and Values and wants to see Garmin succeed
Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 5 years of previous marketing or sales experience
Demonstrated leadership experience
Demonstrated product or project management experience
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent time management/follow-up skills with ability to generate/support pragmatic solutions that meet Garmin's market launch requirements, while maintaining high quality standards
Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented, a multi-tasker, and a driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems with the ability to prioritize and work proactively/effectively in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision
Ability to partner with other team members utilizing feedback while working towards a collaborative outcome
