Salary: $28.00 USD Hourly - $30.00 USD Hourly

Description:

The Judge Group is seeking experienced Coding Team Leads to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HCC/risk adjustment coding, along with a proven track record of leading and coaching a team of coders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 5+ coders, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.


• Coach team members to meet appropriate QA and quantity metrics.


• Conduct QA audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize coding processes.


• Stay up-to-date with ICD-9/10 coding guidelines and HCC coding practices.


• Maintain a strong knowledge base of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.


• Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high-quality work.


• Follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently.


• Adapt to a flexible work environment, including remote work.


• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Utilize computer hardware and software effectively to process and secure data.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.


• AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, or CRC) (No apprenticeships).


• Minimum 5 years of coding experience.


• Extensive knowledge of ICD-9/10 coding.


• Familiarity with HCC coding.


• Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours weekly (full-time).


• Ability to work on multiple client projects.
