Type: Full-Time
Under the immediate supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor the Radiology Technologist, is responsible for conducting routine X-Ray/CT procedures and ensuring all Physician and customer needs are met through clinical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Perform X-Rays
1 Operates all fixed and Portable Radiographic Equipment
2 Performs all Trauma Protocols
3 Able to assess plan and provide individualized care for patients taking into account the mental status development and physical needs of each patient based on age
4 Performs all Fluoro produres
5 Performs all OR Procedures
CT
1 Performs CT scan procedures per CT Procedure Manual / Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, and administers first aid/CPR
2 Assist patients on and off the table
3 Prepares and calculates appropriate dosage and/or administers contrast media ie orally, IV, rectally
4 Starts Intravenous lines and administers IV Contrast
5 Assists the Radiologist in biopsies, abscess drainages and other procedure
6 Performs daily safety warmup and quality control check on CT equipment
PACS
1 Ensures all computed and digital images are properly archived on Synapse
2 Scan Documents in a timely manner
3 Trouble shoot as needed
4 Push images to other Hospitals
5 Burn Cd's/and enter Tech notes into each exam completed
HIS/RIS
1 Ensures timely reporting of exams
2 Charges exams correctly
3 Prints Schedules and checks Patient orders
4 Confirms patient identity with two identifierQualifications
1: Must be Registered with the ARRT. RT required. CT required after 18 months of employment.
2: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
3: Must be registered with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
