We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Athens, Georgia
Position Overview:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products throughout the development and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective quality control measures and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:
Analyze product failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to address internal and external customer complaints.
Communicate technical issues effectively with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Prepare accurate and timely Production Part Approval Processes (PPAPs) for customers and review supplier PPAPs.
Conduct quality audits of supplier operating systems as needed.
Travel to supplier and customer locations to resolve issues and implement containment measures.
Provide technical support and training to engineering and manufacturing personnel.
Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and feasibility review meetings.
Support and participate in internal audit activities.
Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) hold area.
Adhere to all plant and office safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing quality role.
Strong understanding of AIAG-formatted PPAP requirements.
Proficiency in quality analysis tools such as 8D and PFMEA.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
